Polished amber

I purchased this because I like the appearance of amber on one hand, but I also like the idea of owning something that is 60 million years old. The photograph with the listing on Amazon didn't really do the item justice because once it arrived in the mail I found it had a very stunning appeal.I think this type of item would be a great gift for children as something they can stash away in their own personal treasure box just so they can take it out once in a while to hold it or to show to friends (along with comments as to its age).
