I purchased these for my mother on her 80th birthday because they're one of the oldest known jemstones (though actually a resin.) These were very unique with individual fossils inside and big (10 mm.) She got lots of complements on them. There was a story from a relative, about amber being good luck for those born under the signs of Leo, Capricorn or Virgo. A fun fact for Mother, being a Leo. It's said to have healing properties too. Nice conversation piece.
